Georgetown Rowhouse
Located in the historic Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC, this rowhouse underwent a complete gut and whole-house interior renovation and exterior modifications designed to blur the line between inside and outside. Reworking of the interior transformed what was a very dark and compartmentalized house into a bright and light-filled home. An exterior wall of glass doors and a strategically placed floor-to-ceiling window bring light into the heart of the home. Emphasis was placed on turning what is a very narrow house into a more expansive feeling home through the use of custom mirrored cabinetry that reflects light and opens up the space. A custom kitchen with ebonized wood cabinetry allows the walls to recede, placing focus on the intimate garden beyond.
