Virginian House

The design of this new residence references the stately, formal homes in one of McLean’s oldest neighborhoods. We designed molding profiles and cabinetry based on architectural elements of the past, which created spaces flooded with natural light. Priority was given to creating a bright kitchen with custom cabinetry in the heart of the family wing. A spiraling staircase anchors the foyer, while an innovative marble slab shower and neutral material palette allow our tub and chandelier to sing. Classic forms, interjected with clean modern twists, create a tension that is carried throughout the design.
